The JOUSTING LEAGUE of SL went live online March 4th, 2014.
There was a significant reason why supporters of the SL Jousting League initiative went live with jousting standings that day.
SInce last June 2013, when the Jousting League was first announced at the SLTA 3rd Year Anniversary, subsequent notices and posters have quoted Lincolns second inaugural address to a Divided nation which has served as the mission statement:
“With a malice toward none, and charity for all.”
The reason, was to encourage disparet jousts to rise above their common dislikes for the common good. Since then, this has begun to happen. Although barriers still exist to cooperation, many riders wish to support common interests and shared standards.
March 4th marks the eve of the 150th anniversary of those words.
Website information and results for 'Cry The Tournament' Intersim jousts in the past had been published online between June and September 2011. Thereafter by tabulation in notecards embedded in posters.
The return to an online format was heralded in a notice sent to major jousting groups (SLTA/UJ) by Forester Lowenhart Tue 04 Mar 2014 20:02:34 :
DDA/SLTA Joust Statistics Now Online
Greetings All,
We wanted to let jousters know DDA and SLTA standings are now online. We began tracking statistics 3 years ago and debated making too much of them (beyond annual accounting for awards) for fear it might discourage new jousters.
The UJ has begun tracking jousts recently and putting them online, so the time seems right. It has its benefits, as the notecard tabulation is more work. Hope this is helpful to those who like to monitor their progress.
The web address is attached.
A notecard was attached encouraging the UJ, SLTA and other groups work together for the benefit of the jousting community:
Greetings,
We wish to let jousters know DDA and SLTA standings will now be online. We began tracking statistics 3 years ago and debated making too much of them (beyond annual accounting for awards) for fear it might discourage new jousters.

The web address is below, but while on the subject of UJ. Some may wish for an adversarial relationship between the DDA/SLTA and UJ. We hope that is not the case, and is certainly not with us. Although we appreciate the attention some give that, we can't reciprocate, nor do we have much more on our agenda in SL.
Being the first to establish an Academy for Knight/Ranger/Lancer/Warrior training or the Intersim and Team jousting to celebrate Realms and charitable causes, is an enviable legacy . Although we may shake our heads at conduct unbecoming by those trying to establish themselves, we also take pride in those who cut their teeth on DDA and SLTA jousts when emulating our efforts and growing on their own.
Much of the rules, team, tournament and league language appearing on the site in January and early November came directly from DDA/SLTA materials. But we were not alone in our efforts either, and owe a great debt of gratitude to those who came before.
It's most gratifying to see practices become standard to make it easier for all to joust without borders. Jousts stretching across the week are more like stepping stones to UNITE jousters with opportunities then DIVIDE them into separate camps. So let that be our goal.
It's the reason chosen for putting the standings online today.
We have been early supporters of the SL JOUSTING LEAGUE initiative, which was announced last June at the SLTA Anniversary. In subsequent notices and posters, Lincolns second inaugural address to a divided nation has served as the mission statement: “With a malice toward none, and charity for all.”
Today marks the eve of the 150th anniversary of those words, so let that resonate and bind old wounds if you have them.

Give it time to load/reload as it is freshly minted, but hopefully will serve as another resource for the SL jousting community.
