Construction on the Museums North and South Exhibition wings was completed November 30, 2018 and installation of the Exhibition ' A Decade Of Joust 2008-2018 was finished December 1st. A GRAND OPENING is planned later this month, but the Museum is already being featured in SL's EDITORS PICKS as a top Winter Attraction and open for 'early bird' tours.

Caption: A gothic museum awaits your discovery within a snowy landscape, its chiseled walls of marble and granite set against the stark white of winter. Welcome to the first ever Exhibition celebrating A Decade of Jousting in SL and its formative years between 2008 and 2018.
Here are a few more images from the featured Exhibits that await the winter traveler.
LOCATION
There are several ways to get to the MUSEUM. Search keywords Joust, Jousting or Jouster to locate the MUSEUM OF TOURNAMENT in SL's Search Feature available in the Viewer. Teleport from there.
The TOURNAMENT MUSEUM is located on the Kismet Northwinds Sim at the Double Dragon Academy. If using a LM to the Academy, take any teleport to the 'MUSEUM' selection.
THE ENTRY FOYER

You arrive beneath an arch fashioned from Douglas fir boughs, over a newly traveled path in the snow. Candy cane jousting lances hang overhead, welcoming you to museum stairs that lead to the Entry Foyer. You will be greeted automatically, with offers to join the Jousting League group presenting the Exhibition, an introductory info card to help navigate the exhibit features and a landmark to tuck away for revisiting whenever you wish.

COMMEMORATIVE GUIDE
You can tour the Exhibit on your own, but for more detailed information, grab a 'wearable' Commemorative Guide, available in the Entry Foyer. Once worn, keep it in the corner of the screen, and open when you want to know more about one of the 50 numbered exhibits in the Exhibition Halls.
The Guide is free from DDA (sponsor) to its members, or for a suggested donation from any non-member. TOUCH the image frame to join the sponsor's group to purchase for $1L (refunded).
Once the Guide is in inventory, find and wear. Touch the cover of the Guide and select the info card to help navigate, reposition or resize the book, or get a link to the Jousting League website. Every Exhibit is numbered and coordinated with the GUIDE to go directly to the page for any exhibit. To do so, OPEN the book and TOUCH the leather cover edges on the left or right side of the pages for pop-up Menu to select the GO TO button. Page though the GO TO list to the correct exhibit number, and press to go to that page! Here's an example of what you'll find:

Hall Of History Exhibit 12 is only one image on the wall, but opens a portal in the Guide to background on the revival of Jousting in the Industrial Age
THE HALL OF HOSTS

Begin the Tour with a look inside a meeting room of the SL Tournament Association legendary for starting the 'Cry The Tournament' Inter-Realm tournament in June of 2011. Rotating overhead, are the Realm COA's for all the Realms who have participated in the event. Below is the round table, where stewards from various Realms gather to consult on issues common to all. On the walls are posters of current particpants, a presentation screen is located in the back that visitors can use to select a slide show, video or access websites devoted to the medieval games community.

Those attending the DDA's 9th Year Annivary on October 27, were given a sneak preview of the Hall of History, before it was recently completed. Additional images in this article are from that event.

THE HALL OF INDUSTRY
Exhibits begin at the left (North) end of the Museum which features pioneers and innovators who create the tools for jousting that began the sport in late 2007 and early 2008. Besides the Exhibits on the walls, several back to back rotating slides presentations are always active, and will be updated during the exhibition from new community submissions. One is devoted to the BEST OF HELM, showing avatar armor, horse barding and other accessories. The second presentation (on the flip side) is the BEST OF EQUIPMENT, showing past and present jousting lists in various

Realms. One side will have hover text, while the other will be self explaining. Any of these presentations are open to the community to add their own special memories. TOUCH the hanging banner underneath the frame for submission guidelines. There is also a petite sized scale model of a jousting tilt, with an explanation in the Guide listing the various parts.
Before leaving the Hall of History, stop by the Museum Store display for a free Tournament Arena courtesy of exhibit sponsor SL Tournament Association. Follow the same process for obtaining as outlined in the Commemorative Guide.
THE HALL OF HISTORY

The second Hall in the tour focuses the RL and SL history of jousting. The Guide takes you through medieval, industrial, modern and digital age implementations of the Sport. The presentation panels feature BEST OF TOURNAMENT, with a random sampling of jousting events submitted by various Realms. These will be added to as more submissions come in. For anachronists, or aficionados of medieval weaponry, there is a Quiz on the parts of Armor displayed. If stumped, the Jousting League website has the answers. The BEST OF FUN presentation display, demonstrates jousters know how to have a good time.
THE HALL OF CHAMPIONS

Every sport has its high achievers, and SL jousting annually honors its own in the SL Tournament Associations Anniversary celebration. Those at the top each year are honored with a hanging portrait, but many more are honored in the Guide and in the two presentation displays; BEST OF YEAR and BEST OF REALM. The latter features rare Posters from Season I & III (2012-2014) before all joust tournament results moved to online lists on the Jousting League website. They are organized by the Realms who hosted the event. The BEST OF YEAR features Images from annual SL Tournament Association Anniversary's honoring Top Ten jousters in all jousts.
THE HALL OF COMMUNITY

The last stop on the tour is look back at the times of cooperation and conflict between various Realms and groups. All communities go through growing pains, and the jousting community is no exception. Emphasis is given those who have worked hardest to maintain a vibrant jousting community through their service efforts, programs and support of all.
Popular community group resource websites are featured on the wall and in the guide.
In the corner, stands a medieval town crier heralding the news of the day as was done in olden times. Touch the newspaper to link to access a real 'Medieval Herald' blog featured on the Jousting League website keeping a watchful eye on community doings since March 2014, and reporting the best (or worst) SL has to offer.

Among these best are the slideshows BEST OF INTERSIM, showing the roots of inspiration for the "Cry The Tournament' Interim joust which has brought so many realms together in shared medieval sport. And the BEST OF PROGRAMS featuring training programs which have been instrumental in providing jousting instruction, development and support. Such as the Double Dragon Academy (DDA), which is entering its own tenth year of service and is depicted in the petite scale model against the South wall of the Museum. The DDA sponsored a Gold Certification
Kit is free to members. A good New Years goal for the next champions to be!
