A new Jousting group has recently formed following resignations of 2 council members from the United Jousters group.

The group, Jousters 4 Jousting is open to any and all Jousters in SL regardless of group affiliation. The Group’s Charter reads:

“Jousters 4 Jousting is a group for all jousters anywhere in Second Life to share information, cross-train, promote their events and work together without anyone telling us what to do, where to do it or with whom. J4J is run by the members. It is for people who want to joust and don't care about politics.”

In his resignation letter of April 4, King Bandor of HighGarden wrote:

“I believe jousting is for jousters, not for people with agendas and biases. I am sick and tired of all the bickering and in-fighting. I am done with all the endless debates about what's a back hit, should side hits be legal, how do we track scores, whose events are worthy of being included in our standings.”

Princess Ayra, of Darkwolfe/Winterfell commented in her resignation letter the following day:

“I too will resign from the UJ committee as it seems to be going in the wrong direction. When did jousting rest in the hands of only a few members...I do not wish to decide the SL jousters fate anymore, it is their joust not mine, Ive defended my thoughts and opinions til blue in the face and that we should all stay together beside our differences, if you want to hold you grudges fine but others should not have to suffer for it, or have to listen to it, in the end we are the ones on the list with lance in hand and have no differences.”
