On Monday, June 30th, the Jousting League announced a PROFESSIONAL Code Of Conduct. To read, go to the HOME page and choose ABOUT YOU @

http://www.joustingleague.com

The Jousting League serves the jousting community with the mission:

“With malice towards none, with charity for all.”

In the past year we have witnessed new groups and realms emerge. Some have maintained an honorable level of professional conduct.

But we have also seen others resort to personal bias to fuel public boycotts, character attacks, intentional schedule conflicts and copies of rival programs in order to build their membership.

Professional Standards

The principals of fair competiton and cooperation have been in the RL lexicon for almost 100 years.

Although SL is unregulated, and 'anything goes', all avies are operated by their RL counterparts and responsible for regulating their own actions according to their conscience and innate set of values. If those values are corrupt, so will be their dealings, if honorable, their actions will reflect it.

The Jousting League charter or formulting principal was announced over 1 year ago. It was based on the same principals as other RL Sports. (i.e. NFL charter 1921).

For guidance, we ask all endorse a set of time honored principals to create the SL Sporting Community we can be proud of and benefit from.

We ask each Realm, group or individual endorse this Professional Code of Conduct to define SL sport, just as it does RL sport and add your comments. Show your courage and conviction, and be the change you wish to see. (Names not shared)

It is a living document and your comments will help guide future language. It goes without saying, your involvement or lack there of will shape the future of SL Sport.
