PIONEERS IN SL JOUSTING

Kalli Knoller is the creator of jousting and medieval combat equipment, such as the "KK" lance and Jousting List, Jousting horses and Medieval Combat System (MCS).
His interests were formed at an early age:
“Since my early childhood i was enthusiastic about knighthood and castles. SL makes it possible to live your dreams in a virtual way.”
His first creations were born out of necessity and service to the Realm where he role-played.
“When i was an active role-player in Usk, we had a show jump course there, but a few players couldn't afford the common horses. So in August of 2009 I got the idea to make some simple ones and give them to them."
He next turned his attention to the joust, creating a lance with unique features, but incorporating the same ‘bullet’ prim and script for as the MD lance (From Francesco Despres of Medieval Designs)
“When I learned jousting from Gunner Slade with Francesco's MC lance I enjoyed it much and also wondered how it works and tried to find out. I also liked the idea to hide your lance position from your opponent for tactical reason until the very last moment, the option to lower it by mouse click, which i accomplished on the <KK> lance in autumn of 2009.”
Many favored his jousting list over others due to the narrow width and fouls which limits sharp turns, and forces a more traditional straight run for the jousters. It was based on rules for Jousting USK in order to achieve a realistic re-enactiment of RL jousting.
“During that time I also developed the jousting list which - according to the old rules of Usk - measures collisions and angle to the list of the riders and shouts the fouls.“
Other role-play products followed such as weapons, archery targets and a combat system.
“In 2010 i made a speed target system with scoreboard, but my personal favourite of my creations is the Medieval Combat System (MCS), which however until now by far not as famous as my lance.”
