UJ restricts access to meeting minutes

United Jouster meeting minutes and agendas, once open to the public for review on-line will now have limited access according to a recent UJ notice:

Next Meeting (REMINDER) Sent 11 Apr 2014 11:18:47

The next general meeting is Saturday March 12 at 5:00PM SLT (at Celtic)

Agenda at: http://unitedjousters.com/index.php/meetings?id=105

Also, all meeting agenda's and minutes will marked as CONFIDENTIAL--DO NOT DISTRIBUTE (Copyright United Jousters 2014)

These are for the United Jousters group use only. All material on the website is also copyrighted by the United Jousters and can not be used without permission.

According to the recent policy change, agendas and minutes will be marked confidential and not for distribution. Access to them on-line will be available only to those given an account and password by UJ webmaster Capt. Blinker.

The policy change comes in the wake of recent postings published in the Jousting League blog reporting protests and resignations in the UJ group and verbatim comments from minutes and public chat by the UJ leaders for the support of conflictive scheduling and boycotts of rival jousts. The blog reports verbatim communication from public meetings, without editorializing.

The United Jousters was founded with the promise of providing an open democratic forum to all members. The repeal of public access to the UJ meeting minutes is seen as the latest shift to a more insular organization. See for other policy changes:
