A new group, Medieval Games Fellowship (MGF) will replace the former SL Medieval Gaming Association (SLGMA). The SLGMA was originally founded by Bri McMahon and Jotow Resident to help promote a new all in one, jousting list and archery system (DVE) and support all medieval sports in SL.

At this date the DVE system release is unknown.

The new group MGF, also created by Bri McMahon will merges several existing jousting groups formed earlier in response to the divisions within the Jousting Community following the founding of the United Jousters in January.

Jousters4Jousters currently under the governance of Ricci Juliesse, and the Virtual Jousting League created by Nyza Stillwater, along with fellow owners Bri McMahon, Belladonna Mandrake and Tresha Florent, will share joint efforts and shared visions for the MGF.

The MGF mission will focus less on politics and more on continuing the SLGMA support and promotion for all medieval sporting events regardless of affiliation. McMahon originally saw other tournament groups such as the United Jousters (UJ) and SL Tournament Association (SLTA) foucused primarily on Jousting events, and felt a 'team effort by many pasionate people for all medieval sports was needed'.

The group will be open to all to join and send notices, and feature a website promoting a calendar for tournament events, but include no standings.

UPDATE 1/2016: As of January 1, 2016 owners included McMahon, Nyza Stillwater, Belladonna Mandrake, Tresha Florent, Ricci Juliesse, Virtual Jousting League, Nephilim Ventris, Brett Kjeller, KaliVRahu, Hina Mhia, Lilith Firegrave, Hacker Jannings, Mathew Porchers and Forester Lowenhart.

UPDATE 2/2016: Nyza Stillwater resigned from the MGF's ownership group in February under charges by a fellow MGF officer for violating Linden TOS agreements. The notice that initiated the protest was sent through MGF group promoting events in a competing grid, InWorldz outside of Second Life. Nyza responded with an apology to the group:

"Making Things Clear (Apology)

Wed 24 Feb 2016 13:30:08

In regards to my previous notice about promoting a 6pm joust on Fridays in Inworldz, some of you took this offensively to two other events scheduled at roughly the same time. So I'm here to offer a public apology to those who were affected by it. It is attached in the notecard. Long story short: I coincide with MGF's founding mission to promote everyone regardless of affiliation and I am sorry that the recent notice was taken offensively. It was not my intention.

Thank You,Nyza"

In full disclosure, he acknowledged his interests and accounts in InWorlldz . On February 27 he resigned from the MGF ownership group.

"Indefinte Hiatus from MGF Stuff

With my focus on the Stillwater Sports Team, the Stillwater Institute of Medieval Arms, OpenSim projects, and other personal matters both in VR and in RL, I've decided to go on an "indefinite hiatus" from all Medieval Games Fellowship administrative duties for the time being. My focus is on being a happier person overall and to focus on what needs doing.

If you have any admin questions related to anything MGF, you'll want to direct them to Bri McMahon.

Thank you, Nyza St"
