Record number of certifications at the Double Dragon Academy

The Double Dragon Academy has seen a strong upsurge in certification for higher ranks since the beginning of the year. By the end of February, there had been an unprecedented 16 new certifications.

Recent announcements have included the completion of several new singular achievements.

- First male warrior to complete all GOLD level endorsements for the LANCERS JOURNEY

- First female warrior to complete all GOLD level endorsements for the LANCERS JOURNEY

- First male warrior to complete all SILVER level endorsements for the LANCERS JOURNEY

The DDA has added new Gold, Silver, Iron and Steel plaques updated with the names of recent certification graduates to the second floor of the Aacemy's ADMIN center.

Headmaster Lowenhart had this to say about the recent graduates.

"Certainly their achievments are their own reward, but to honor them rightly, each was awarded a unique set of custom armor, horse barding, weapons and title customized for each new level of rank."

According to the DDA Guidebook free at the DDA or online, the DDA granted the following rewards and titles to the graduates.

DDA BACKGROUND

The DDA is the oldest Medieval Training Institution in SL, now in its 6th Year, with a long list of graduates. It was created by Headmaster Forester Lowenhart.

It offers RP programs that are challenging, but atainable, and you need not be a member of the DDA or active in any of its programs to participate.

Such as its MASTERS program in JOUST, ARCERY, MELEE and WEAPONS that includes a Progress Report to track and reward a persons time and effort in SL tournament competitions.

The DDA campus is located in Kismet Northwinds * and open 24/7/365 to encourage each to go at their own pace.

The DDA is not a Realm with rentals, royals, or role-play beyond that of a military academy guided by its Code of Honor. It is more like a university designed to cooperate with other Realms rather then compete, where a student can attend for skill development which is applied in their home Realm of choice.

For those who do join the DDA, it offers an introductory program for CADETS, and four advanced programs available upon graduation. Each advanced level is described as a JOURNEY specifically designed for KNIGHTS (Melee Skills); LANCERS (Jousting Skills); RANGERS (Archery Skills); and WARRIORS (All Weapons)

To test the 'mettle' of each certification candidate, each advanced program offers 4 levels for advancement, ranked in skill level and catorgorized by the durability of 4 'metals': GOLD (Beginning Skill); SILVER (Intermediate Skill); IRON (Advanced Skill); and STEEL (Master Skill).

Skill development in medieval weaponry is only one of four components of the program. EDUCATION (Skill Development); COMPETITION (In Tournament); MENTORING (Developing Others); SERVICE (To Home Realm).
