Monthly Championships return!

Announced at the SLTA Season V Awards Celebration June 10, 2016.
The DDA originally began monthly championships in Archery, Joust and Sword in 2011. When the SLTA was formed, they were given sponsorship of the event.
Monthly Championships were popular with the community, but have been on a hiatus of late.
In keeping with the original mission of support for all tournaments, the SLTA will be bringing back MONTHLY CHAMPIONSHIPS in Season 7. They will return with a twist as aTriathlon event.
Individual Champions will be named for each separate competition in Archery, Joust and Melee, but those who excel in all three will earn the annual title of ‘Medieval Triathlete’ of the year.
Master of Lance, Ricci Juliesse will serve as the principal coordinator for the events working with the DDA and SLTA.
The events will begin this June as part of the Relay For Life (RFL) charity event being organized by Ricci and RFL. In July the Championships will take up residence at the DDA on the 2st, 3rd and 4th Saturday of each month and continue as a year long charity event.
The Saturday Joust will continue as a Championship event rotating weekly with Archery and Melee. All events will be held at DDA's regular Saturday NOON time, so International players have a chance to participate.
