Forester Lowenhart, Headmaster of the DDA and host member of the SLTA (SL Tournament Association) announced changes at the SLTA Season V Awards Ceremony on Friday.
"Before we honor the jousters who rose to the top of the standings this past year, I want to quickly share some of the Tournament Association’s plans for this year.
One change will be opening up the Tournament Association group to anyone who wishes to send out a notice on a tournament they host.
The group is not just for the Intersim Joust but any tournament in Joust, Archery, Melee or others, such as Racing, Battles or Spell Casting.
You do not need to be a participant in the INTERSIM JOUST to send notices.
If you are a host of any tournament, simply join the group and contact any SLTA member HOST to grant you posting rights."

He went on to encourage tournament hosts to use the Tournament Associations website launched last year, to post the results of their tournaments so participants may monitor their progress in Joust, Archery and Melee tournaments.

Or via the Jousting League site under JOUST|SLTA

"This has become a popular place for anyone who hosts or participates in a tournament to post the results of archery, melee and other types of tournaments."
"It’s easy to do using the simple online form, available to any Realm, official, coordinator or participant who wants to archive the results of their tournament."

"The site provides valuable information on entrants, purse, winners that all can use to follow their progress and note their achievements. Results from the Jousting League website are also included.
All work so hard to create opportunities to attract others. Adding this level of support honors your efforts and those of the participants.
‘Cry The Tournament!’ applies to mainstream tournaments as well as the more specialize tournaments of horse racing, ship battles or spell casting."

"The site also features a calendar that focuses solely on tournament events. We leave the scheduling of classes, training sessions and other events to individual Realm calendars."
"If you want your tournaments listed, send us the details. Or if you would like additional help in hosting and officiating tournaments, the SLTA offers kits to help and staff is always ready to assist.
Our roundtable is open to all Realms who wish a voice in building a vibrant and sharing tournament community."

"We have a great team of volunteers who work very hard to support each Realm.
From helping to work out schedules, officiate at events, or post the results to websites that serve as a valuable community resource."
