Second Life may have a couple of famous RL models hosting the United Jousters Knockdow joust at the same date/time as the SLTA Interim each Friday! Above images are from a public RL website “Odins Daughters” featuring Valkyrie Catherine and Valkyrie Klynn appearing on Vogue and Maxim magazine covers, Victoria Secret ads and more.

Valkyrie Catherine (aka Valkyrie.Jinx) has shared the Valkyrie website and details for her and partner Valkyrie Klynn’s modeling career with many in SL. According to the face page of the web site, they keep their identity hidden for the sake of privacy.

“How do they do it? Using pin names and some great makeup / style artist, they keep the pressure off, you will know who they are! youve seen these Models in many adds, many Photo's all over the net !”

Indeed, a google search on the ‘net’ finds many of those modeling assignments credited to other ‘pin’ names.

For example, the February 2011 Austrailian Vogue cover features Catherine McNeil, an Australian model.

Google:“Catherine McNeil vogue covers”

The middle image (with autographs) of Valkyrie Catherine and Klynn MacGregor are attributed to South African models Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel in a Victoria Secrets 2012 training video.

Google: “train like an angel 2012” or:

Victoria’s Secret Sport: Train Like An Angel

And the ‘revealing art’ on the Valkyrie site assigned to Klynn is attributed to English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on an August 2012 Portugal Maxim cover.

Google: “Rosie Huntington-Whiteley maxim covers”

But don’t trust your eyes. The images found on Valkyrie site are said to be the originals, before they were altered by editors.

“All photos were Done ,BEFORE the editing dept was able to trim

and "Un-Enhance " the models assets. Is the true Eye color and figure of shown Model.”

Such must be the publicity machine at work. Still, great confusion exists over why the media would lie so. Below is a Vogue cover attributed to Catherine McNeil in OUT magazine. Next to it, the same cover attributed to Valkyrie Catherine on a Valkyrie blog site, said to be the 'real one' before retouching and corrective names.

Additional research in wikipedia on the models in mention bring up a life story, parents who are still alive with the same last name, birth dates and countries of origin that are different from those stated on the Valkyrie site.

"Valkyrie Klynn and Valkyrie Catherine" both born on November 09' 1986. both born to parents of the Scottish Clans chieftains Asst. (vcm)Perry and Marie Maclaomainn and (vkm)John and Nancy Macgreger. Named Valkyrie at birth, VKM;s Parents were kille din an automobile accident weeks after vkm's 2nd birthday.”

For example Wikipedia reports model Catherine McNeil was born in Queensland, Australia May 30 1989 to Mellissa McNeil. Model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was born April 18, 1987 in Plymouth, England to parents Fiona and Charles, and has starred in "Transformers 3" and the current "Mad Max Fury Road" and states her partner is actor Jason Stratham.

Blurring the lines between fact and fiction in SL is to be expected. But doing so in RL is troubling if Vogue, Victoria Secrets, Maxim and Wikipedia sources aren't telling us the truth revealed in the 'Odin's Daughters' RL website. Let's hope this is corrected soon.

Obviously the length, to which Valkyrie Catherine and Klynn have gone to hide their true identities, could be just the cruel price of fame. Or maybe the joke is on us.
