Grand Opening of Museum of Tournament attracts jousting community

The Grand Opening ceremony of the MUSEUM OF TOURNAMENT Exhibition 'DECADE OF JOUST 2008-2018' took place Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 4pm.

The Museum had been open for 'early bird' tours since December 1st when it was first featured in SL Editor Picks, and has been viewed by over 250 visitors from the SL community.

SPECIAL INVITATION

A special invitation was sent to the jousting community for the Grand Opening (roughly midpoint through the current joust tournament season) to celebrate 10 years of great jousting in Second Life.

Opening Night:

The event was hosted by Sir Forester Lowenhart, chief currator of the museum. Refreshments served in the Hall Of Hosts.

FREE TOURNAMENT GIFTS

The Museum store is featuring several gifts from sponsors the Double Dragon Academy and SL Tournament Association. They are FREE to members through the end of the year, or available anytime for a specified donation.

UPDATE January 12, 2019

For the month of December 2108, the Tournament Museum remained in SL WINTER ATTRACTIONS, and saw more than 500 visitors view the Exhibit. In January 2019, the Tournament Museum moved to the second category in SL Picks: RECENTLY ADDED.

The Museum plans to close its West and East wings and move the principal hall exhibits to displays within the Hall Of Hosts.
